Seminole

Visitors to southwest Georgia’s Seminole State Park have the opportunity to see abundant wildlife, including alligators, osprey, gopher tortoise and bald eagles. Nearby wildlife management areas provide great duck and deer hunting. Boaters and anglers will enjoy Lake Seminole, a 37,500 acre reservoir. Visitors can rent canoes and kayaks to explore the water which is smooth for skiing and tubing. A sand beach is open seasonally for swimmers. Pack a lunch to enjoy under one of the park’s five picnic shelters and let the kids run around on the playground. Overnight guests can rent cottages or stay at one of the park’s campsites.
