Nestled within the Chattahoochee National Forest on the shores of Lake Burton, Moccasin Creek State Park welcomes visitors to 32 acres of relaxation. Despite its mountain location, the park is relatively flat which makes it a great spot for kids to ride their bikes, people to park larger RVs, and wheelchair accessibility.
Lake Burton is a prime spot for water skiing, boating and fishing. Kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and canoes can be rented. There is a playground, wildlife observation tower and 3 miles of hiking trails. The park has one picnic shelter and a smaller campsite for tents and RVs. The park’s central location makes it a great jumping off spot for exploring nearby waterfalls, mountain bike trails, shops and restaurants.

ACCESSIBILITY: The park is relatively flat and has a paved sidewalk that leads to the creek. A fully-accessible fishing pier is open only to seniors 65 and older, children 11 and younger, and anglers with a Georgia Disability Fishing License. Parking is limited. There is a wooden ramp to the park’s store. Two ADA restrooms (one designated male, one female) are roughly 400 feet from picnic shelter. ADA Campsites 14 and 25 have gravel pads. Site 14 is flatter and more secluded, but father from the bathhouse.
