Skidaway Island

A Maritime forest and salt marsh welcome visitors to Skidaway Island State Park. The park is located near historic Savannah, borders a part of Georgia’s Intracoastal Waterway, and sits just an hour away from Tybee Island. Along the park’s six miles of trails and from the observation towers, visitors may spot deer, egrets, fiddler crabs and other wildlife. The park features a volleyball court, two playgrounds and outdoor fitness equipment. Guests can also enjoy lunch at one of the five picnic shelters. An enclosed group shelter is a popular spot for parties, reunions and other celebrations. The park’s scenic campground is nestled under live oaks and Spanish moss. Some RV sites have sewer hookups. Overnight guests can also enjoy the park’s camper cabins which feature screened porches, air conditioning, a master bedroom and kids’ sleeping loft. Guests will need to bring their own linens, towels, dishes and cooking utensils.
