This trail system has become a destination for mountain bikers from around the United States. The Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association (SORBA) Woodstock Chapter was formed in March 2000 by a group of local mountain bikers. The all-volunteer group’s focus has been advocacy, mountain bike trail development, and trail maintenance in Cherokee County while also assisting with rides, festivals, and the advancement of off-road cycling throughout the southeastern United States. The trail system’s website regularly updates the status of the trails.
The Blankets Creek Mountain Bike Trail System is made up of six trails:
- Mosquito Flats (Beginner)
- Mosquito Bite (Beginner plus)
- Dwelling Loop (Intermediate)
- South Loop (Advanced)
- Van Michael Trail (Advanced)
- Quehl Holler (Expert Downhill)
Taylor Randahl Memorial Mountain Bike Trails, located just east of Blankets in Olde Rope Mill Park is comprised of three trails:
- Explorer (Intermediate)
- Avalanche (Intermediate)
- The Mill Trails (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced)
The following users are allowed on the trails:
- Pedal Driven Bicycles and Unicycles
- Class 1 Pedal Assist Ebikes
- Walkers*
- Trail Runners*
*Walkers and Trail Runners are required to yield to bicycle traffic and travel in the opposite direction of bicycles on all trails except Mosquito Flats.

DIRECTIONS: From Atlanta take I-75 North to I-575 North, exit on Sixes Road (Exit 11), turn left (West) off the exit ramp and continue about 1.8 miles. The Blankets Creek trail head is on the left; look for the signs.
