About
I created plotmystory.com because I believe our stories have the power to connect us. By putting Georgia’s many narratives “on the map”, I hope to highlight opportunities for you to explore and experience the places and the people that make our state great.
I believe our stories have the power to connect us.” – Jennifer Grove Camacho, PLOT My Story Founder
My own story has taken me all across Georgia. Raised in Polk County, I grew up calling the beautiful backdrop of Northwest Georgia home.
After graduating, I headed east to that unparalleled college town of Athens. From there, I was off to Myrtle Beach and then Cincinnati to report for local TV stations. No matter where my career took me, Georgia was always on my mind.
In 2013, I returned home to begin telling the stories of metro Atlanta nonprofits and community change-makers. For nearly 7 years, I sat in the living rooms of families fighting for cures, met people out at serene spots to talk about protecting green spaces, and listened to leaders working tirelessly to break down systemic barriers. As Community Affairs Manager at WSB-TV, I got to work with corporate community champions, advocates for the arts and meet neighbors of all different backgrounds who call North Georgia home.
Since 2020, I have continued telling our stories in partnership with local nonprofits, small businesses & Georgia communities via PLOT My Story. This is a place for stories that stick and a place for starting difficult conversations. Most of all, I hope it will be a place where we can explore our shared past, make the most of the present and PLOT a path forward.
