Starlight Drive-In

One of Georgia’s few remaining drive-in theaters is welcoming cinema enthusiasts for nightly entertainment in a socially-distanced environment. Starlight Drive-In is located southeast of downtown Atlanta near I-20 and just off Moreland Avenue. Drive-in visitors are encouraged to show up early to get a prime viewing spot and to avoid longer ticket lines since spaces are first come, first served. That said, if you have a large van or SUV, they ask you to park it in the back half of the viewing lot so you don’t block anyone’s view. The box office will close at the start of the evening’s final movie. To hear the movie, you’ll need to have a working FM radio in your car since the soundtrack is broadcast through a FM transmitter. You’ll also want to make sure your car battery has plenty of juice. Go ahead and crack it up at intermission and keep your headlights off to avoid needing a jump start. No wifi available on-site.

HOURS: Movies play 7 nights a week when it gets dark, depending on the time of year. The movies air in all types of weather, unless it is severe and safety is at risk. Visit the drive-in’s website for showtimes and movie information.
