Freedom Park is a 250-acre park in Valdosta that offers plenty of fun activities outdoors. A paved walking track loops around a group of trees to the right of the main entrance. Bathrooms and water fountains are available at the entrance to the track. Across the parking lot from the walking track is a basketball court. Continue on the road through this parking lot and visitors will find a dog park for large and small breeds. A three-mile, cross country running course circles the park with entry points scattered throughout. At the far end of the park is a 20-hole disc golf course. Miracle Field Complex, a sports complex within Freedom Park, features inclusive sports fields for people of all abilities. Miracle Field includes a rubberized baseball field, track, basketball court, and soccer field. It also has a playground built for people of all abilities and a fully accessible pavilion with concession stands and restrooms. The sports fields are available by private reservation, but the playground and pavilion are open to the public. Open fields separate the sections of the park, allowing for creativity in outdoor fun.
