Indian Springs

Indian Springs State Park, located 20 minutes off I-75 in middle Georgia, is one of the oldest state parks in the nation. For centuries, Creeks collected the spring’s water for its healing qualities. Today, visitors can sample the water and learn about the Native Americans who called this area home at the park’s small museum. While the creek is the biggest attraction to the park, about 4 miles of trails welcome hikers, walkers and cyclists. A ramp and rentals provide access to the water. There are 5 picnic shelters, a playground and a mini golf course. Cottages and campsites may be reserved for overnight stays. The park also features an event center and stone pavilion for weddings and family reunions.

After exploring the creeks at Indian Springs State Park, visitors can take a short drive over to neighboring High Falls State Park to explore tumbling cascades.
