Cloudland Canyon

Cloudland Canyon State Park is one of the largest and most scenic parks in the state. Located on the western edge of Lookout Mountain and straddling a deep gorge, the park is home to thousand-foot deep canyons, sandstone cliffs, wild caves, waterfalls, cascading creeks and abundant wildlife. There are several hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding trails available. If you set out to hike, you can choose your path based on difficulty and desired views.

For those wishing to stay overnight, you can choose from fully-equipped cottages, yurts and tent and RV campsites. There are ADA accessible campsites, plus picnic areas and group shelters. While the park is dog-friendly, pet owners should know there are many steps to get to the falls which resemble metal grates and could be difficult for some dogs.
