South Fork Conservancy‘s trail system in Atlanta includes 5 miles of completed trails and three public parks. Long-term plans connect the nonprofit’s trail system with the Atlanta BeltLine, PATH400 and the Peachtree Creek Greenway.
The nonprofit’s mission is threefold:
1. CONSERVE Peachtree Creek from further degradation and future environmental threats.
2. RESTORE the creek’s habitats and waters to health.
3. CONNECT parks, nature preserves, and other greenspaces along the creek with nature trails to provide easy public access to the natural environment and encourage outdoor recreation and exercise.
A newly-installed 175 foot bridge over Peachtree Creek will now be the gateway to miles of urban, nature-rich, creekside trails.
The bridge will open once construction on the attached ramp is complete in the Fall of 2020.
